Moritsch – 4 luffing jib cranes RTL285B e RTL325B for Y-Towers in Amsterdam

Moritsch Cranes has sold four new luffing jib cranes to Italian general contractor Rizzani de Eccher to implement building complex named Y-TowersY-Tower – Amsterdam, one of Amsterdam’s most spectacular large-scale projects, comprising hotel and residential tower. At 110 metres, one of the towers will be the tallest building in North Amsterdam.

The new build complex has a gross floor area of approximately 106,000 sq/m and comprises a hotel tower and a residential tower on a four-storey plinth containing restaurants, conference facilities and offices.

Construction activity to start in January 2020, expected construction period of around 36 months.

Moritsch Cranes has supplied:

  • No. 3 luffing jib cranes model RTL285B, max load capacity 18 tons, one crane with 60m jib and 129m tower height, and two cranes with 55m jib, 36m tower height
  • No. 1 luffing jib crane model RTL325B, max load capacity 20 tons, 65m jib and 129m tower height
  • All cranes fitted with anticollision system, tallest cranes with elevator for cranes’ operators.

The choice of our products by the customer was guided, according to our opinion, by the following criteria:

  • Constant support during the presale provided by our engineers to define the best solutions to overcome the critical issues of the jobsite and to optimize the construction activity;
  • Ability of the technical office to determine solutions that would allow our cranes to be installed on pre-existing foundations of other brands;
  • Proven decades of experience of Moritsch Cranes in the industry and in particular in making luffing jib cranes, essential for this project;
  • Complete customer service for the duration of the construction site, including erection, test and commissioning, maintenance and telescoping of the cranes, dismantling;
  • Supply and installation of anti-collision systems and cranes’ elevators;
  • Remote diagnostic system to monitor and serve the crane from our factory in Italy and possibly intervene on site with the ready-made solution.
